What is Digital Storytelling (DST)?
It is same as making a very, very short video.
DST is an arts-based method that combines the arts of the storytelling and the power of technology.
A powerful method that gives an individual (storyteller) a total control and ability to share their stories through a learning and production process using technology. DST focuses on the storytellers (you) and gives you a total control of the film.
You (the storyteller) make a story using computers, tablets or your phone. You have a choice of words (narration, story or script), of pictures/paintings and music.
Participants will engage in the creation of these stories to portray their personal lives or experiences, immigration and integration journey etc while actively constructing and reconstructing themselves through the telling of their own story in their own words.
